The Russell Inn used to be a decent restaurant with a good variety of meals, pizza and phenomenal staff. All of this has faded in the past year since their remodel.
The menu has been updated with some popular items missing, the selection less and then prices higher.

The best place all around Massachusetts!!!! The food is absolutely delicious no matter what you order!!!!!
The bar staff used to be very efficient, but over the past year have become slower, often messing up orders or not understanding typical bar/food & drink orders. For example not understanding that coming in to order a beer and a pizza to go doesn't mean, waiting until you finish your beer to place the pizza order.
The pizza is probably the best in the Hilltowns, with a nice thick, doughy crust. So definitely get the pizza or chicken parmesan grinder.
The cheeseburgers, especially the Friendly cheeseburger, taste amazing. We've eaten lunch here 3 times and service staff are always courteous.
Awesome food and best selection of beers, love it!!!
Have not eaten in the dining room lately, perhaps service is better. Not saying it's bad, just not what it used to be.
I've been going there for over 40 years by car or motorcycle, my bike friends say to me "I don't care where we ride as long as we end up at Russell Inn for lunch, I always have to agree.
Small family bar and restaurant. Good food and spirits. Nice staff too.
